Every day I think, hmmm, maybe I should update the blog?  Well, today I'm actually going to do it! 

A lot has happened lately.  Biggest news - we moved!  Our previous landlord was going through foreclosure on our house so we've been looking around for a more stable place.  We ended up in a home four houses away from the old one, with the exact same floor plan!  The carpets, cabinets, and landscaping are different, but it's basically the same house.  I like the new one more.  The moving part was no fun, but it's mostly over now.

Most of my time has been spent teaching, as usual.  One thing I love most about teaching first graders is that they are at an age where they want to act more mature (by that I mean they want to act like their bratty older siblings - full of attitude), but they can't help being sweet innocent children most of the time.  Case in point - today a boy in my class said to me, "I think I'll draw some thugs..., or you and me playing in the park.  I don't know."
